I love the Mark Taylor idea of home congregations! I think we need to go back to a 1600s model of reading our Bibles at our kitchen tables, or on the porch, with friends and family, and using the Word to guide others through this messy fallen world. I think that most, if not all, churches have gone the way of Antioch, sadly. 501c3's taking funding from groups that don't have the right mindset have led to things like Marvel movies being played at churches during Easter, and pastors that are always focused on funding instead of on winning souls for Christ. Jesus went to the people, he didn't spend much time in synagogues, and the times that he did was met with church leaders despising him. I think we should be following Jesus' lead. There's a lot of hurting people out there that need to know what scripture says, to be edified and lifted up. And, I don't know of anyone who enjoys being Bible thumped. I would like to find a man who has the same Conservative views. Full disclosure, I have chronic migraine, so I have quite a few days with that, but I have a lot of good days too. I'd like to find a man who has a similar chronic issue so that we can relate to each other, lift each, up, find ways to laugh through it all, go on nice walks, and get some sort of regular fitness on our good days. I'm not a huge fan of gyms, as I spent a lot of time in them over the years. Gentle, regular exercise seems to do just as good if not better, and keeps the chiropractor away. I like gardening, being frugal, and !'m more into herbal remedies than other things.
