I love reading the Bible. I feel called to serve God as a pastor. I like to check the maps and notes at the back of the Bible to get a full sense of what is going on during the events described in the passage I am reading. I always learn something new from my studies of God's word.

In terms of my approach to scripture, I tend to lean towards liberationist and liberal perspectives concerning my interpretation of the text, however, to be quite honest, Bishop Spong is not a theologian that I am a fan of.
